Galsana - Patient First Innovation
Creating a new global medical nutrition brand with patients at the heart of every decision
The result is more than a new name or visual identity
Galen Medical Nutrition had established specialist expertise in supporting people living with rare metabolic diseases. As the business evolved, there was an opportunity to create a standalone brand that could build on the trust and heritage of Galen while establishing a clearer, more distinctive identity of its own.
Working closely with the Galen team, we developed the brand from the ground up - beginning with strategy and positioning before exploring naming, messaging and visual identity. The new name, Galsana, creates a connection to the brand's Galen heritage while signalling a fresh chapter, giving the business a distinctive platform from which to grow internationally.
Transforming Galen Medical Nutrition into Galsana - a distinctive new global brand built around patients, innovation and a positive future for metabolic healthcare.
At the heart of the brand is Patient First Innovation - a positioning that places the everyday experiences of patients, carers and families at the centre of how Galsana thinks, communicates and innovates.

Patient First Innovation - guided everything from the tone of voice and photography to the identity, colour system and packaging, helping us balance scientific credibility with warmth, optimism and humanity.
The new visual identity was designed to feel confident, approachable and forward-looking. A flexible colour system helps distinguish individual therapy areas, while a clean and consistent design language brings the wider portfolio together as one recognisable family. The identity was then extended across Galsana's medical nutrition packaging, communications and digital touchpoints to create a cohesive brand experience.
The result is more than a new name or visual identity. Galsana gives the organisation a dedicated brand for the future - one that retains the expertise and trust established through Galen while creating a more human, positive and ownable presence within the global metabolic disease community.
