Briefing Document
Pfizer VMG MedEd Videocapsule and Microlearning Cross-Country Project
Project Overview
Project Owner: VMG Medical
Project Category: Medical
Audience: External HCPs across Mid-Size European and Small-Size European markets, covering 17 countries plus ad-hoc market requirements.
Therapeutic Areas: Anti-infectives, Inflammation & Immunology, Cardiovascular and Endocrinology.
Source Workbook Tabs Used: MedEd project and Video Requirements. The helper tab lists Commercial and Medical categories.
1. Executive Summary
Medical Education video programme. The requirement covers hosting, catering, recording and post-production support for a set of medical videocapsules and microlearnings. The programme is intended for external HCPs across 17 European countries, with content designed to educate on disease state, mechanism of disease, severity scales, practical management and selected cardiovascular studies.
2. Objectives and Scope
- Develop six full-length microlearning recordings across six therapeutic areas, each approximately 15 minutes long.
- Split each full-length recording into two or three shorter modules of approximately five minutes each.
- Develop an additional endocrinology package comprising five speaker-led microlearnings and one roundtable debate video with all five speakers.
- Provide both interactive and non-interactive video options, including interactive questions accessible by mobile phone or computer.
- Ensure video content remains editable for local country codes, references, disclaimers and related localisation needs.
3. Recording and Delivery Requirements
Set-up: Six therapeutic areas, with two speakers per therapeutic area, totalling 12 speakers. Endocrinology requires one speaker per microlearning and a roundtable with all five speakers.
Audience at Recording: Proposal includes a live recording location option in Ireland that can host 17 HCPs.
Timing: Recording is anticipated for late September, with video editing finalised by the end of October.
Pfizer-Provided Items: Hotel, transport and meals will be provided by Pfizer under MAPP.
Engagement: Interactive multiple-choice questions are required. Anonymous scoring may be used to identify areas of audience spread and support expert follow-up discussion.
4. Video Production Requirements
Video Length: Full-length videos of approximately 15 minutes and microlearning modules of approximately five minutes.
Format: .mp4
Volume: Six full-length videos, 17 microlearnings, plus endocrinology requirements of five microlearnings and one roundtable.
Editing: Cutting, merging and general video editing required.
PowerPoint Integration: Create short video files from a pre-existing video and PowerPoint file where required.
Slides and Codes: Add disclosure slides, disclaimer slides and GCMA codes for each country. Initial package covers 17 countries, with optional ad-hoc costs for extra countries.
Subtitles: English subtitles required. Agency X will quote for local language subtitles on a cost-per-country basis in the final proposal if required.
Interactivity: May be determined by client hosting site of choice. A quote will be provided in phase 2 for both interactive and non-interactive formats.
Detailed Edit Treatment: Each divided video should begin with the disclosure and disclaimer treatment. The disclosure slide should appear at the start for up to three seconds. The GCMA code should sit bottom right and remain visible until the end of the video.
5. Key Visuals and Identity
Four distinct key visuals are required: one each for dermatology, anti-infectives, cardiology and endocrinology.
6. Suggested Next Steps Before Final Proposal
- Align on production quality approach.
- Align on the venue and logistics.
- Discuss interactive Q&A approaches in line with the hosting platform for video with client. Separate pricing for interactive versus non-interactive video formats will then be provided.
- Align on guide budget parameters and possible contingencies for KOLs that cannot fly to Ireland.
- Confirm the final list of therapeutic areas, as the source material references six therapeutic areas while listing four named areas.
- Confirm the final expected count of microlearning outputs, particularly the relationship between six full-length videos, 17 microlearnings and the separate endocrinology deliverables.
- Confirm whether the four required key visuals should align to four named areas only or whether further visuals are needed for the full therapeutic area list.
- Confirm local subtitle language requirements and priority countries.
- Confirm final requirements for country-specific disclaimer text, disclosure slides and GCMA code placement.
